ST. PETERSBURG — City Council member Amy Foster, who sits on the Homeless Leadership Board of Pinellas County, will speak at a community forum on homelessness Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of St. Petersburg.
The presentation, "Best Strategies to End Homelessness," will explore the success evidence-based models and their impact on community development and municipal budgets.
The forum is part of an ongoing series presented by Celebrate Outreach, a grass roots, faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in the St. Petersburg area. The monthly series is designed to educate the public about issues surrounding homelessness.
The free program, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, will be in Gilmour Hall at the church, 100 Mirror Lake Drive N, St. Petersburg. Refreshments will be served. Register at celebrateoutreach.org/community-forums.html.
