Tampa plant festival entices green thumbs

The 25th annual Spring Plant Festival at the University of South Florida Botanical Gardens on Sunday in Tampa featured more than 70 vendors including local plant clubs and societies, as well as commercial growers from throughout the state, selling plants and plant-related items. Some of the plants offered through clubs and societies included: butterfly plants, crotons, African violets, orchids, bromeliads, cacti, bamboo, bonsai, bougainvillea, native plants, camellias, tropical fruit trees, palms, carnivorous plants, gesneriads and hardier shrubs.
