Motorcyclist dies in Clair-Mel crash

TAMPA — A Tampa man was killed Wednesday night after his motorcycle collided with a car in Clair-Mel, authorities said.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Kelvin Davian Roman Gonzalez, 21, was driving a 2012 Yamaha north on S 78th Street near Clarice Circle. Sariyah Carlie Byrd, 27, was driving her 2009 Dodge Charger south on the street and made a turn into the motorcyclist's path.

Gonzalez struck the passenger side of the car and died at the scene.

The crash remained under investigation and no other details were released.
