A rescue dog who worked the at the World Trade Center site after 9/11 made a return to New York City for a birthday party to remember.

Bretagne is a member of Texas Task Force 1 and back in 2001, she and her handler Denise Corliss were deployed to New York City to try to find survivors. Their mission quickly turned into a recovery mission; Corliss said she was thankful she had Bretagne to help get her through it.

When Barkpost.com, a website for dog lovers, heard that Bretagne was turning 16, they decided to give her a party, and posted a video of the celebration to YouTube, calling it "Dog's Best Day."

You can read more about Bretagne and Corliss from Barkpost.com — and watch video of her "best day" — here.
