A driver died after crashing into an overpass wall near Shady Hills on Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

About 5:15 a.m, Alison Renee Titus, 58, was driving a 2018 Honda HR-V southbound on State Road 589. Just past County Line Road, the Brooksville woman lost control of the sport-utility vehicle and swerved off the road, the FHP reported.

The Honda went onto the shoulder and then crashed into an overpass wall, troopers said, before coming to rest in the grass median.

Titus died at the scene. Troopers said she was wearing a seatbelt and the accident was not alcohol related.
