Weeki Wachee woman, 27, dies in Pasco motorcycle crash

DADE CITY ⁠— A 27-year-old Weeki Wachee woman was killed Monday when she pulled her motorcycle into the path of a pick-up truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jessica Lee Manning was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The crash took place at about 5:56 p.m. at Old Lakeland Highway and U.S. 98. Manning was traveling south on a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle on the U.S. 98 exit ramp onto Old Lakeland Highway.

Ralph Howard Huckins, 67, of Dade City was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 pick-up south on Old Lakeland Highway approaching the ramp. Manning turned into the path of the pick-up, troopers said, which struck the left side of the motorcycle.

Manning was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, trooper said. Huckins, who was wearing his seatbelt, sustained minor injuries.
