Teacher and student are latest arrests at Fivay High School | Jan. 28

A student faces charges for making threats against the school. A teacher faces charges for having a gun in her purse, and finally a number of students face charges for fighting. I have a problem charging students who were fighting. Kids fight.

We have to be careful charging youngsters with crimes that will impact their futures. It could affect job applications, college or technical school applications, and much more. What happened to detention, counselling, or suspension rather than arrests and criminal charges?
