CARES INSTALLS 2020 BOARD: The nonprofit Community Aging and Retirement Services installed its board of directors on Jan. 16. Rao Musunuru, MD, emeritus board member, officiated the ceremony. Board members include: executive Committee chair Steven F. Spina; vice chair Seromoney Singh; treasurer Alvin L. Hagerich; and secretary Barbara Sharp. CARES promotes quality of life and independence for adults through health, social and supportive services in West Central Florida. CARES offers services in home health, daily living, senior centers and wellness programs.

SUN TOYOTA RECOGNIZED: Sun Toyota in Holiday has been awarded DealerRater’s 2020 Toyota Dealer of the Year Award for the third consecutive year, as well as its fourth consecutive Consumer Satisfaction Award among Toyota dealerships in Florida. The awards are based on car shoppers’ reviews of dealership customer service, quality of work, friendliness, pricing and overall customer experience.

Events

MASQUERADE BALL: The Business and Professional Women/Calusa will host the sixth-annual Masquerade Ball dinner and dance at 6 p.m. Feb. 22 at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club, 3535 Trophy Blvd., New Port Richey. Includes dinner, a glass of champagne, dancing, raffle auction, 50-50 raffle, “spirit table,” professional photos and a cash bar. Tickets are $60 each or $100 per couple. TUESDAY TUTORIAL: The Heart Institute at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point will offer its Tuesday Tutorial Feb. 18, at Rao Musunuru, MD, Conference Center, 14100 Yosemite Drive, Hudson.   12. Lisa Langford opened her artisan boutique, Lis's Pieces, in March of 2019 on Grand Boulevard in downtown New Port Richey. She recently expanded, remodeling an upper floor to use for crafting workshops. Future plans include using the space for small weddings and other intimate occasions, Langford said.
