Hudson woman dies weeks after Pasco car crash

The 84-year-old was in the passenger seat when the driver collided with another car

An 84-year-old woman died in the hospital Saturday, weeks after sustaining injuries from a Feb. 6 a car accident in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Betty Brady, 84, was a passenger in a 2008 Mercedes when the driver went to cross northbound traffic on US-19 to turn onto Beacon Woods Drive in Hudson, according to FHP.

The car entered the path of a motorcyclist, who collided with the passenger side where Brady was sitting. Both Brady’s car and the motorcyclist spun and were then struck by a 2002 Chrysler van.

Brady, the driver of her car, the motorcyclist and the driver of the van all suffered serious injuries, according to FHP. All had either a seatbelt or helmet on. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to authorities.

Brady was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, where she died on Saturday.
