SPRING HILL — A body was found inside a house fire that firefighters extinguished Saturday, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.

Officials did not say what time the fire was reported. The house is located in the 17000 block of Normandeau Street in the Highland Meadows area, between the Suncoast Parkway and the Pasco-Hernando county line.

The body was found by firefighters searching the home, officials said. They were able to rescue a dog from the blaze.

No further details about the fire were released. Officials did not say if they have determined what caused the fire. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal’s office are helping conduct the investigation.
