A 81-year-old passenger in a car that crashed into a tree in late February died on March 14 from his injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
On February 22, a 70-year-old Spring Hill woman and the 81-year-old man were going east on State Road 52, west of U.S.-41. The woman lost control of her car because of an unspecified medical issue and hit a tree, according to highway patrol. Both were wearing seatbelts.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died on March 14. The woman driving the car suffered a serious injury, according to highway patrol.
Debris from the car crash affected a nearby parked pickup truck but nobody else was injured.
