One killed in early morning Zephyrhills fire, officials say

Firefighters controlled the fire within 20 minutes of arriving at the Olive Drive scene, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue. But they found one person dead inside the double-wide mobile home.

ZEPHYRHILLS — A fire that consumed a mobile home early Monday morning killed one person, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.

Firefighters responded at 4:10 a.m. to the 4600 block of Olive Drive in Zephyrhills, where they found flames shooting through the roof of a double-wide, the agency said Monday. Firefighters brought the fire under control within 20 minutes.

During a search of the home, the agency said, firefighters found one person dead inside. That person has not been publicly named.

Pasco County Fire Rescue, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and the state Fire Marshall’s Office are all investigating. They have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
