NEW PORT RICHEY — A 30-year-old motorcyclist died Tuesday from injuries he received when a van pulled out in front of him Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Ridge Road and Tanglewood Drive, the Highway Patrol said.
The man, from Spring Hill, was not identified. He was critically injured and died at a local hospital.
He was traveling east on Ridge Road when a van, driven by a 76-year-old Hudson man, turned in front of him to enter Ridge Road. The motorcycle hit the driver’s side of the van.
Both the driver of the van and a 67-year-old passenger received minor injuries in the crash. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, troopers say.
