2 dead in separate Pasco motorcycle crashes Sunday night, troopers say

Two motorcycle riders died and two other people were seriously injured in separate motorcycle crashes Sunday night in west and east Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The first collision happened at 8:33 p.m. on U.S. 19 at Bolton Avenue north of Hudson.

A 43-year-old Zephyrhills man died and his passenger, a 14-year-old New Port Richey girl, was seriously injured after they ran into a car making a U-turn in front of them, the Highway Patrol said. Both were wearing helmets. They were ejected during the crash.

The motorcycle was headed north and the southbound car was making a U-turn to head north. The driver of the car, an 87-year-old Hudson man, received serious injuries in the crash.

The second crash crash happened at 9:05 p.m. Sunday on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard at Johnston Road, west of Dade City.

A 66-year-old Dade City man died after he missed a curve on his motorcycle, struck a tree and was ejected, the Highway Patrol said. He was not wearing a helmet.

The Highway Patrol did not release the names of those involved in the collisions.
