A 46-year-old New Port Richey woman on a bicycle died on Sunday night after a crash involving a vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Flint Street and Little Road in Pasco County. The bicyclist was traveling south on the sidewalk along the east side of Little Road while the vehicle was being driven west on Flint Street.

“At the intersection, the two . . . collided,” the Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital, where she died.

The Highway Patrol said investigators don’t currently have a description of the vehicle or driver. Anyone with information about the crash can call *FHP or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
