A 66-year-old Elfers man was killed Monday when the drivers of two vehicles struck him as he tried to cross Little Road in New Port Richey, troopers said.

One of the drivers did not stop after hitting the man, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. as the man was walking across Little Road near Decubellis Road, troopers said. A 52-year-old Hudson woman driving south hit the man with her car and then the driver of a second southbound vehicle struck the man.

The woman who hit the man first stopped after the crash but the second driver left the area. Troopers said the second driver was in a dark-colored car or SUV.
