Pasco County sheriff’s officials are asking the public’s help as they work to identify a set of bones that were found earlier this week off U.S. 19 in Hudson.
Someone reported finding the bones Monday in a wooded area near U.S. 19 and Ideal Lane.
A community alert released Friday said that the bones appear to be those of an adult man. He wore a collared shirt, size 36 jeans, Adidas shorts, plaid boxers, and red-and-white Nike shoes, size 10½. Sheriff’s officials released a picture of one of the shoes.
Sheriff’s officials said the man, at some point in his life, suffered a broken lower left leg and a fracture to the left side of his head, near his eye. The injuries appear unrelated to the man’s death, the cause of which has not been determined, they said.
Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Crime Tips Line at 800-207-2488. Tips also may be provided online at pascosheriff.com/tips.
