CREDIT UNION BREAKS GROUND IN DADE CITY: The San Antonio Citizens Federal Credit Union held a groundbreaking ceremony Oct. 12 at the site where the new Dade City office will be built at U.S. 301 and Sprocket Way, in The Shoppes of Dade City. The office is expected to be completed in 2019. The credit union began in 1955 in San Antonio, where the main office is located. There are three additional offices, located in Dade City (on Church Street), Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel.

PASCO EDC CREATES PIPELINE PROGRAM: The Pasco Economic Development Council's Talent Pipeline Task Force has advanced the recommendation of creating a talent pipeline program, dedicated to developing a workforce to industry connection. The program will serve as a resource for new and existing businesses, workforce providers and current/prospective employees to identify career-specific pathways in targeted industries. The Pasco EDC proposed the program to the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners on Sept. 17, as part of the 2018-2021 Penny for Pasco Agreement. The EDC is hiring a Workforce Development manager to run the Talent Pipeline Program. Visit pascoedc.com.

HEARTWOOD TURNS 2: Heartwood Preserve will host an open house to celebrate its second year from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 3 at the preserve, 4100 Starkey Blvd., Trinity. There will be cake, crafts and games.
