A man behind the wheel of a truck got into a wreck that sent his vehicle barreling through two fences and into a house Thursday morning in St. Petersburg.
The crash occurred about 7:20 a.m. Thursday on I-275 in the area of 34th Avenue North, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Robert S. Kuzdale, 32, of Lutz, was driving a 2011 Nissan Armada south when traffic ahead of him began to slow. He did not slow and hit a car in front of him, which sent his vehicle onto the west shoulder of the interstate.
From there, the vehicle crashed through a Florida Department of Transportation fence, then blasted through a private fence before smashing into a home in the 2200 block of 34th Avenue North.
Kuzdale suffered minor injuries. No one in the home was injured. The home had “non-structural damage,” according to a report from the highway patrol.
Troopers said the incident is under investigation and potential charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
