CLEARWATER — A 56-year-old Tarpon Springs man died Tuesday after he was struck by Holiday motorist while trying to cross U.S. 19, authorities said.
William J. Lisdell was walking east across U.S. 19 near Winding Creek Boulevard about 8:45 p.m. when he entered the path of a northbound GMC Envoy and was struck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Lisdell died at a local hospital.
The driver of the GMC, 30-year-old Theresa Hayenga of Holiday, stopped after the crash. Neither Hayenga nor a passenger in the SUV were injured, troopers said. No charges are pending in the crash.
