Man dies when truck rolls over on Gulf Boulevard in Madeira Beach

MADIERA BEACH — A 27-year-old man died Wednesday when he was thrown from his pickup truck after crashing into a tree on Gulf Boulevard, deputies said.

Brandon Allan Mason was driving a 2006 Ford F-250 about 7:40 p.m. when the truck left the roadway on the 13600 block of Gulf Boulevard, struck a palm tree in the median and overturned, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Mason was thrown from the truck and was found underneath it when deputies arrived, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead there.

No one else was in the truck at the time.

The crash remained under investigation Thursday.
