Pinellas Park police search for pick-up truck after motorcyclist killed

A 45-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed in the hit-and-run crash that took place at 62nd Avenue N and 55th Street N.

PINELLAS PARK — A 45-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Friday. Now police are searching for the driver who fled the area.

The motorcyclist, Jason Prine of St. Petersburg, was found dead at the scene of the crash, according to Pinellas Park police.

Officers were called to the intersection of 62nd Avenue N at 55th Street N about 12:35 a.m. There they found the motorcyclist in the roadway.

Witnesses told officers that a small, dark-colored pick-up truck with whitewall tires was seen leaving the crash scene.
