LARGO — A bicyclist is dead after a Monday morning collision with a vehicle, police said.

Largo Fire Rescue and city police responded at 5:56 a.m. to the crash near Starkey Road and East Bay Drive, according to the Largo Police Department. They pronounced the bicyclist, a man who has not been publicly identified, dead at the scene.

The vehicle’s driver stayed at the scene, police said. They do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Officers noted that the bicycle did not have rear lights, though they didn’t say whether visibility played a role in the collision.
