One person was injured and an intersection was closed for several hours after a two-vehicle crash in Palm Harbor Friday morning.

The crash occurred about 11:18 a.m. at Belcher Road and Nebraska Avenue. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said a 23-year-old man in a pickup was driving north on Belcher and had a yellow arrow to turn left at Nebraska. However, the driver turned in front of a southbound sport-utility vehicle driven by a 67-year-old man.

The pickup driver was injured, troopers said, but the man in the SUV was not.

Palm Harbor fire officials said one of the vehicles involved was from a pool company. The crash caused about 50 gallons of chlorine and 2 gallons of Muriatic acid to spill on the road. No waterways were affected, fire officials said.

No other details, including the names of the people involved, were immediately released.
