Democratic Senate candidate Val Demings and gubernatorial candidate Nikki Fried will be the headline speakers at the Hillsborough County Democratic Party’s major annual fundraising event, the Kennedy-King Gala, Dec. 11.
The event, at the Tampa Convention Center, marks the party’s return to in-person gala events. It had been postponed because of the pandemic. Tickets start at $125 with VIP packages and sponsorships ranging up to $25,000.
While she’s in town, Demings will attend a campaign kickoff for state Sen. Janet Cruz, D-Tampa, earlier in the day.
