Two mayorships and a slew of other seats were up for grabs Tuesday as voters in nearly a dozen Pinellas County municipalities cast ballots in local elections.

Both mayoral races, in Madeira Beach and St. Pete Beach, got heated as the election approached — the former over allegations of ethical breaches and stolen campaign signs, the latter with mailers accusing incumbent Alan Johnson of fostering a “woke agenda.”

Meanwhile, voters in Madeira Beach, Tarpon Springs and Treasure Island weighed in on city charter amendments and referendums, with the issues at hand including residency requirements for elected officials, budget hearing schedules and rules around city money-borrowing.

Some mail and provisional ballots were still to be counted, with that process set to wrap up Thursday, according to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections’ office. Official results will be certified Friday.

Read on for unofficial results as of 10 a.m. Wednesday.
