Where the Florida delegation falls on the Iran nuclear deal

U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, D-Tallahassee, came out against the Iran nuclear deal Thursday, becoming the last of 10 Florida Democrats to weigh in.

All Florida House Republicans oppose the deal. Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson supports it; Republican Sen. Marco Rubio opposes.

Florida Democrats in favor of the deal (6): Reps. Alan Grayson, Orlando; Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Weston; Kathy Castor, Tampa; Patrick Murphy, Jupiter; Frederica Wilson, Miami; and Corrine Brown, Jacksonville.

Florida Democrats opposed to the deal (4): Reps. Lois Frankel, West Palm Beach; Ted Deutch, Boca Raton; Alcee Hastings, Miramar; and Graham.

Castor said, "Like many others, I know that this deal is not perfect. But there is no practical alternative that is perfect."

Frankel said, "It's too high a price to pay."

She opposes the deal "because it legitimizes Iran's nuclear program after 15 years and gives Iran access to billions of dollars without a commitment to cease its terrorist activity."
