Map: Where to park for Gasparilla and the NHL All-Star Weekend in Tampa

The Gasparilla Parade of Pirates and NHL All-Star Weekend overlap Saturday in downtown Tampa. Here are highlights of what to know before you go.

GETTING THERE

The parade route runs generally along Bayshore Boulevard north to Ashley Street (In blue on the map below). Amalie Arena is the center of NHL activities

PARKING

Special event rates will be in place for parking in public garages and privately operated lots throughout downtown Tampa and around Bayshore Boulevard. Note that many tend to fill up by 10:30 a.m. Many of the locations are on the interactive map below.

Another parking option is in Ybor City, where you can take the TECO Line Streetcar into downtown. The Centro Ybor and Palm Avenue Garages will open at 7 a.m. at the standard hourly rate with HART park and ride available from both locations.

Or skip parking and ride a HART bus in from home to the Marion Transit Center. See the map below for details.

STAYING AWAY

Road closures in the vicinity of the parade and the game begin Friday night. "No Parking" signs have been installed in neighborhoods west of Bayshore Boulevard effective Friday. Violators will be towed.

MOVING AROUND

The TECO Line Streetcar runs continuously from Ybor City to Dick Greco Plaza 8 a.m. Saturday to 1:30 a.m. Sunday. All day pass $5.

HART buses run continuously from Ybor City and the Channel District garage to Dick Greco Plaza 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. All day pass $4, in advance or exact change on bus.

HART In Towner runs from Marion Street Transit Center to south end of downtown. Free service every 30 minutes.
