LARGO — A 31-year-old woman was killed late Wednesday as she attempted to run across five lanes of traffic of U.S. 19, police said.
It was not immediately clear why Tina Gallardo Robinson was bounding across the road near the intersection of 150th Avenue just before 11 p.m.
As she crossed, Robinson was hit by a 2002 Cadillac driven by Keir Hopkins, 43. The car was traveling north at about 60 miles per hour, police said.
Robinson was killed instantly.
Sgt. Ryan J. Dulski, a Largo Police Department traffic homicide investigator, said "the pedestrian was clearly at fault" and no charges would be filed.
An investigation continued Thursday.
