HUDSON — A 30-year-old man died Thursday morning after he lost control of his vehicle on a curvy Hudson road, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday, the man was driving his 2001 Honda north on Little Road when he lost control on a curve approaching Trace Highlands Boulevard, troopers said. The man, from New Port Richey, has not been identified by authorities.

Authorities said the driver traveled into the center median, struck a small bush, then crossed into southbound lanes. The vehicle hit a curb, and the driver was thrown from the car.

Alcohol was not involved, authorities said.

The driver was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, where he died from crash injures.
