WIMAUMA — The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the second victim who was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. 301 on Sunday night.
Troopers say Brett Hitchcock, a 40 year-old Parrish resident, was driving a Toyota Tundra southbound on U.S. 301, near Saffold Road just after 8 p.m. when he veered into the northbound lane for unknown reasons, deputies said.
He crashed head-on into a Dodge Ram driven by 54-year-old Jose Zertuche, troopers said.
Both men died at the scene, according to the FHP. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
