second crash of the day kills motorcyclist

A Safety Harbor motorcyclist died early Saturday after crashing twice in one day.

Robert Dobraski, 54, was driving his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Third Street North in Safety Harbor. At about 2:50 a.m., he struck a legally parked car in front of 1078 Third St. N, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputies.

Dobraski, who deputies say was not wearing a helmet a the time of the crash, was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, where he was pronounced dead.

As deputies investigated the accident, they discovered the Clearwater Police Department was already looking for Dobraski. Officers said he had crashed his motorcycle earlier on Sunset Point Road. Witnesses told officers Dobraski struck the median and crashed near Lawson Road in Clearwater, then got back on his motorcycle and drove toward Safety Harbor.

Deputies suspect Dobraski may have been under the influence at the time of the crashes.

Nursing assistant charged with assault

A 35-year-old nursing assistant was arrested Friday after the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said he sexually assaulted an 85-year-old resident of the assisted living facility where he worked.

Roberto Kirkland faces a charge of sexual battery. He was booked into the Hillsborough County jail and was being held without bail late Friday.

The assault took place sometime between June 6 and June 9 at Brookdale Senior Living, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The 85-year-old residents told deputies that Kirkland assaulted him "against his will and without his consent," according to the agency. Kirkland admitted to the assault, deputies said.
