TAMPA — The Florida Highway Patrol released the name of a man who died Wednesday after the sport utility vehicle he was driving veered off the Selmon Expressway.

Cesar Rodriguez-Guillen, 31, of Tampa, was exiting the eastbound lower deck of the expressway at U.S. 41 about 9:40 a.m. when his 2004 Ford veered onto the paved shoulder and struck a concrete wall, troopers said. The Ford then veered left across the roadway and then back to the right, striking a guard rail and splitting it in half.

Guillen died at the scene.
