DADE CITY — A bicyclist riding at night without any lights died after he was hit Saturday by two cars, authorities said.
The name of the cyclist has not yet been released.
At nearly 11 p.m., Heather Belasic, 25, was driving south on State Road 35 when she struck the man — who was also traveling south — near Wilds Road south of Dade City, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
He bounced off the front end of her car and fell in the road.
The bicyclist was then run over by a second car, driven by Lonnie Wilson, 25.
The man, who was wearing dark jeans and a black T-shirt with no lights on his bike, died at the scene, the patrol said.
Wilson and Belasic, both of Zephyrhills, weren't injured.
An investigation is ongoing.
