Car crashes through glass storefront in Clearwater

CLEARWATER — A car slammed through the front of a coin laundry business Saturday afternoon in Clearwater.

No one was injured, but the crash, which happened about 4:30 p.m., shattered the glass storefront of Gulf to Bay Coin Laundry, at 2009 Gulf to Bay Blvd., authorities said.

The driver of a car hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending the car about halfway into the building, officials said. It was unclear if the driver would face any charges.
