TAMPA — One child was ejected and badly injured, and three other children hospitalized, in a car crash Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to Tampa Fire Rescue, a car driven by a woman with four children passengers collided with another car at 5:05 p.m. on E Hillsborough Avenue and N 43rd Street.
The child who was ejected was taken to Tampa General Hospital as a trauma alert. The others from that car were also taken to the same hospital, but considered stable, Fire Rescue said.
Firefighters said the driver of the second car was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
Officials have not identified the victims nor released the circumstances of the crash.
