Hudson woman dies in crash on U.S. 19

HUDSON — A Hudson woman died in a car accident Tuesday morning at U.S. 19 and Country Club Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Patricia Marie Blacer, 47, had been driving south in the center lane of U.S. 19 about 10:15 a.m. when she lost control of her Pontiac Grand Am "for unknown reasons," the FHP said.

The car rotated and crossed the center median into northbound traffic, hitting two other cars.

Blacer was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and later died.

Drivers of the other two cars both sustained minor injuries.

Blacer was not wearing a seatbelt, the FHP reported.
