A man left a bar near Largo Saturday night and drove his Oldsmobile into the path of a Pinellas sheriff's deputy's marked car, injuring himself and the deputy, according to the agency.

John Clark, 68 of Largo was driving away from the Niagara Tap about 10:30 p.m. when he turned onto Seminole Boulevard southbound, less than a block from the bar. Pinellas County sheriff's Deputy Erin Nestor was driving south on Seminole Boulevard, lights flashing and siren sounding, the Sheriff's Office reported.
