ST. PETERSBURG — A woman was arrested on a charge of DUI on Tuesday night after St. Petersburg police said she rear-ended an officer's cruiser.

Just before the crash, police said the officer was sitting in his parked cruiser behind a disabled car waiting for a tow truck on Central Avenue near 31st Street. The cruiser's lights were on.

Then at 8:35 p.m., police said Cathy Ann Moloney, 57, rear-ended the officer's vehicle. Police did not say how fast she was going or whether she suffered any injuries.

The officer was not seriously injured. He was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg to be examined, police said.
