Pedestrian seriously injured in Largo crash

A 35-year-old man walking on Seminole Boulevard in Largo was seriously injured when he was hit by a car Wednesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Kevin Krieter of Temple Terrace reportedly stepped into the southbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard near 106th Avenue N. The driver of a 2009 Honda Civic tried to swerve to miss him, the FHP said, but hit Krieter with the front of the car. He was airlifted to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

No charges had been filed Thursday morning, and no further information was immediately available.
