All lanes on U.S. 19 have reopened, according to the Pinellas sheriff.
A truck carrying weed killer was involved in a crash in Clearwater on Tuesday, spilling about 100 gallons of liquid chemical into the street, authorities said.
A Scott's Lawn Service truck collided with a median on U.S. 19, causing a rupture in its tank, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened about 12:55 p.m. and forced the closure of northbound U.S. 19 between Countryside Boulevard and Republic Drive, officials said.
No one was injured.
