A motorist towing a Airstream travel trailer lost control of his vehicle Friday on Interstate 75 and both vehicle and trailer overturned in the median, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Bruce E. Meadows, 69, of Cincinnati, was pulling the Airstream north behind a Dodge Sprinter in the center lane of I-75 near State Road 60 as he approached slow-moving traffic. To avoid a collision, he steered left just after 3:30 p.m. and lost control of the vehicle and trailer.

Meadows collided with a guardrail and overturned. He suffered minor injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, Joan Meadows, 69, of Cincinnati, suffered serious injuries.
