An Orlando woman was killed early Monday when the sport utility vehicle she was driving overturned on Interstate 75 in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The woman, whose name was withheld by officials pending notification of her family, was headed north in a 2002 Suzuki SUV about 1 a.m. on I-75 about a mile north of State Road 54, officials said. For some reason, the SUV veered onto the east shoulder before flipping over and rolling multiple times.

The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. She died at the scene. An investigation of the crash was ongoing.
