Woman badly hurt in crash with school bus

A Pasco County school bus with no children aboard was struck Monday by an SUV that drove into the wrong lane of traffic, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The bus was traveling north on the Ehren Cutoff near its intersection with Tower Road on Land O'Lakes at about 1 p.m. when a 2003 Lincoln Navigator going south on Ehren drove into the northbound lane, hitting the bus, the FHP said.

The driver of the Navigator, Linda Manbevers, 34, of Dade City, was seriously injured and airlifted to the Bayonet Point Medical Center, where she is in stable condition, the FHP said.

The bus driver, Linda Woodruff, 69, of Spring Hill, was not injured, nor was her 57-year-old passenger.

Troopers said Manbevers was charged with driving with a license that is suspended or revoked, driving with a license plate not assigned to her vehicle, no proof of insurance and failure to maintain a single lane.
