Burglary at Tampa Starbucks could be related to others in Florida

Surveillance video captured a suspect entering the Starbucks at 8229 Parkedge Drive in Tampa and taking an undisclosed amount of cash out of the safe. Law enforcement believes that the incident is related to similar burglaries that have occurred throughout the state. [Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay]

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating a rash of burglaries at Starbucks locations around the state, including one last week in Tampa.

Suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the Starbucks at 8229 Parkedge Drive on June 6 after breaking into the store's safe.

Surveillance video captured a suspect entering through the front door after business hours and dismantling part of the security camera before breaking into the safe.

The method used was similar to burglaries at other Starbucks around the state, according to the FDLE.
