Deputies: One injured, investigation "very fluid" after Spring Hill shooting

SPRING HILL — A Tuesday morning shooting left one person injured and an investigation that "is still very fluid," deputies said.

Deputies responded to 5187 Alliance Avenue after a screaming, bloody victim went to a neighbor's house and asked for help, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. The victim, who has not been identified, told deputies the shooting happened between 2 a.m. and 8:50 a.m.

The was taken to a local trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.

Law enforcement blocked off Alliance Avenue and Springwood Road after responding to the scene. A search of the house turned up no suspects or other victims.

The shooting is under investigation.
