TAMPA — A 26-year-old man was fatally shot on Monday night and deputies said they quickly arrested the man who pulled the trigger, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The man who died was identified as Bernard Jinks. Police arrested William Dennard Jr., 20, on charges of second-degree murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

Deputies obtained a description of a man seen leaving the store and find Dennard nearby. In his front pocket, deputies said he was carrying a 9 mm pistol with 4 rounds in the magazine and 1 round in the chamber.
Surveillance video from the shooting scene showed Dennard approaching Jinks, backing away, then raising a firearm and shooting, according to the Sheriff's Office said.
