Pasco sheriff's detectives arrested a 13-year-old girl Saturday and accused her of using an Instagram account to make online threats against three schools.
The girl, an eighth-grader at Gulf Middle School, faces a felony charge of written threats to kill or do bodily harm, the Sheriff's Office said. The Tampa Bay Times isn't naming the girl due to her age.
According to an arrest report, the girl created an Instagram account with the username "Jake The Klown" and wrote a post saying Gulf Middle, Gulf High and River Ridge High schools would be attacked Monday.
She told deputies the post was a prank, the report states.
