The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is looking for a woman accused of dragging a deputy from her car early Saturday morning.

At about 12:30 a.m., a deputy pulled over Amber Griffin, 29, near U.S. 301 S and Tom Road in Riverview because Griffin had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court, deputies say.

The deputy tried to get Griffin to leave her silver Kia Rio, but Griffin refused, deputies say. When the officer "took measures to remove Griffin from the vehicle," Griffin drove off, dragging the deputy about 20 feet.

The deputy suffered a few cuts on his hand.

Griffin, a white female with hazel eyes who stands about 5 feet tall, is at large, deputies say. Anyone with information about her whereabouts should contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
