Police: Woman aimed pellet gun in road rage
A road rage incident Monday morning led an 18-year-old woman to attack a 72-year-old woman, point a pellet gun at her 50-year-old daughter and pull the trigger, according to Clearwater police.
The incident started about 11 a.m. between Tia Pisani and the two women, police said.
Police said Pisani and the women were involved in an incident on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, near Belcher Road, which then turned into an argument in a nearby parking lot.
Police said Pisani attacked both women and that she also pointed a gun at the 50-year-old and pulled the trigger. It was an unloaded Airsoft pellet gun.
The two women suffered minor injuries and then Pisani fled, police said. Despite being given the wrong vehicle tag, police said they were able to identify the driver.
Pisani was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, battery on a person age 65 or older, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage and tampering with physical evidence.
She was freed from the Pinellas County jail on $17,250 bail.
